I still remember the site for 2004s Saw; this weird maze of hidden buttons that brought you to these pages with games and creepy music. If you looked at it with all the lights off it was legitimately scary. ↩
Download size IS important
It's not hard to take a site and start squishing it all into one column and calling it a day. There are so many more factors that need to be applied to the end goal: creating a better mobile experience. Part of that is the amount of time it takes to load the page. Bandwidth responsiveness.
Also isn’t it amazing that the BBC has a blog dedicated to their responsive design mobile efforts? What other larger corporations do that? Brits. ↩
Great short film from Edward Tufte about designer Igne Druckrey. After watching I couldn't help but sit down with a marker and draw some type.
I also remember drawing those dark-light-dark lines week after week. Not my strongest area.
